The Supremes

Ok, it wasn't quite that simple. Diana Ross, Mary Wilson and Florence Ballard lived in the same neighborhood and where asked to join a vocal group called The Primes which later where named The Temptations (A great male group). The girls called themselves The Primettes and it included a gal named Barbara Martin, who soon left the group. When The Primettes finally scored with Motown, they changed their names to THE SUPREMES. It wasn't untill the summer of 1964 when they appeared on Dick Clark's show,the things started to happen.
